Door handle installation steps
1. Open the door so that you can operate both the inner and outer door handles at the same time. Locate the two screws on the inside door handle cover that hold the inside and outside door handles together.
2. Turn the two screws counterclockwise with a Phillips head screwdriver, pull the inner door handle away from the door and pull the outer door handle away from the door.
3. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the two screws on the outer edge of the fixed latch plate door. Go out the door and pull out the latch plate assembly.
4. Use a Phillips screwdriver to counterclockwise the two fixed strike panels on the door frame, and pull and knock the door frame panels off.
5. Place the new latch sheet assembly through the hole on the edge of the door, part of the curve of the latch bolt that should point to the outside of the door. The wood screws included with the latch plate door handle kit.
6. The door that entered the door is inserted into the outer door handle from the outside. Usually two sleeves, inside the cylinder of the latch hole, will fit. Press the door handle until the cover rests against the door.
7. Insert the inner door handle into the door from the inside of the door. Place the two fixing screws into the holes on the cover plate, turn the screw thread clockwise to the outer door pull the glove, and tighten the screws with a Phillips screwdriver.
8. On the door frame on the curved side curved around the inner side of the door frame, fix the impact plate and the screws that come with the kit.
